The Shackelford CAD board of directors will hold a public hearing on September 14 at 7:30 AM prior to considering the 2024 proposed budget for adoption. The location will be at 132 Hill Street, Albany, TX 76430.
Within this site you will find general information about the District and the ad valorem property tax. Shackelford County Appraisal District is responsible for appraising all real and business personal property within Shackelford County as well as assuring that the mineral, utility, and the wind farm accounts are also appraised. The district appraises property according to the Texas Property Tax Code and the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practices (USPAP).
